Ingredients
  

  • - 8 oz penne pasta
  • - 1 tbsp kosher salt for water
  • - 1 lb raw shrimp peeled, deveined
  • - 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • - 1 tbsp olive oil
  • - 1 tbsp butter
  • - 1 cup heavy cream
  • - ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan

Instructions
 

  • Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water.
  • Toss shrimp with Cajun seasoning and olive oil.
  • In skillet, sauté shrimp in butter over medium-high heat until pink. Remove from pan.
  • Add heavy cream to skillet. Simmer, then stir in Parmesan until melted.
  • Add cooked pasta and shrimp. Stir to coat. Thin sauce if needed with pasta water.
  • Taste, adjust seasoning, and serve hot.

Notes

- Use fresh Parmesan for the best melt.
- Control the spice by adjusting cayenne or Cajun blend.
- Optional add-ins: bell peppers, spinach, tomatoes.
