Ingredients
  

  • - 1 can 10.5 oz condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • - ½ cup whole milk
  • - 1 tsp soy sauce
  • - ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • - 4 cups green beans fresh, frozen, or canned
  • - 1 ⅓ cups crispy fried onions divided

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x9-inch baking dish.
  • Prepare green beans:
  • - Fresh: Blanch 4–5 minutes.
  • - Frozen: Thaw and pat dry.
  • - Canned: Drain and rinse.
  • In a bowl, whisk soup, milk, soy sauce, and pepper.
  • Add green beans and ⅔ cup fried onions. Mix gently.
  • Spread in baking dish. Bake for 25 minutes.
  • Stir gently, add remaining fried onions, and bake 5 more minutes until crispy on top.

Notes

- Make ahead and bake when ready
- For extra richness, stir in shredded cheddar
- To freeze: Do not add topping until reheating
