Equipment

  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting board
  • Mixing bowl
  • Serving platter
  • Spoon or squeeze bottle (for caramel)

Ingredients

  • 2 large Granny Smith apples
  • 1 cup thick caramel sauce homemade or melted caramel candies
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup mini M&M’s or small candies
  • Optional toppings:
  • Toffee bits
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Crushed pretzels
  • Melted white or dark chocolate

Instructions

  • Melt caramel candies or warm your caramel sauce until smooth and thick.
  • Wash, core, and slice apples evenly. Leave the peel on for texture.
  • Brush or dip apple slices in lemon juice to prevent browning.
  • Arrange slices on a large platter, slightly overlapping.
  • Drizzle warm caramel evenly over the apples.
  • Sprinkle M&M’s and any additional toppings on top.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Use thick caramel sauce to keep toppings in place. Avoid runny syrup-style caramel.
To make ahead, prep and lemon-coat apples, then store in a sealed container up to 24 hours.
For allergy-friendly versions, skip nuts or use allergy-safe chocolate.
