For the Chicken

  • 2 lbs Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Buttermilk Marinate for at least 30 minutes

For the Coating

  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour Gluten-free flour can be used
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh garlic can substitute
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika Regular paprika works too
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

For the Hot Honey Glaze

  • 1/2 cup Hot Sauce Frank's RedHot recommended
  • 1/2 cup Honey Maple syrup can be used
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Olive oil can substitute
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder Adjust to taste

For Garnish

  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley Optional

Cooking Instructions

  • Marinate chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for best results.
  • In a shallow dish, mix together flour, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Remove chicken from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, and dredge in flour mixture.
  • Preheat air fryer to 375°F. Lightly spray the basket and chicken with cooking spray.
  • Cook chicken for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and cooked through.
  • Meanwhile, melt hot sauce, honey, butter, and chili powder in a saucepan over low heat.
  • Drizzle hot honey sauce over cooked chicken and return to air fryer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crispiness, ensure to spray the chicken with oil before cooking. Serve with roasted sweet potatoes or a salad for a complete meal.
