How to Make Air Fryer Onion Rings

  • Slice the yellow onion into ½-inch thick rings, separating each ring to ensure even cooking. Set aside the rings.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the panko bread crumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, and sea salt. In another bowl, beat the eggs. Place the flour in a third bowl.
  • Dip each onion ring into the flour until fully coated, then into the egg mixture, followed by the panko mixture.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (190°C) for a few minutes.
  • Arrange the coated onion rings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Lightly drizzle with olive oil, then cook for 8 to 11 minutes.
  • If serving all at once, place cooked rings back in the air fryer for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Notes

Serve immediately for the best texture. If reheating, a quick blast in the air fryer can restore crispiness.
