How to Make Crockpot Mississippi Chicken

  • Lightly spray your slow cooker with cooking spray to help prevent sticking. For added flavor, scatter sliced onions and minced garlic at the bottom.
  • Place the chicken breasts into the crockpot, arrange evenly. Sprinkle ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix over. Add the stick of butter on top of the seasonings and surround with pepperoncini. Pour pepperoncini juice over everything.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender enough to shred easily. Let sit in the sauce for an additional 15-20 minutes.

Notes

Optional: Garnish with fresh parsley or extra pepperoncini for an appealing touch. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to four days or freeze for up to three months.
