Ingredients

  • - 12 cooled cupcakes vanilla, pumpkin, or chocolate
  • ### Vanilla Buttercream
  • - 1½ cups unsalted butter softened
  • - 6 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • - 6 tbsp heavy cream or milk
  • - 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • - Pinch of salt
  • ### Food Coloring
  • - Orange Leaf Green, Black, Fuchsia + Violet
  • ### Decorations
  • - Candy eyeballs
  • - Mini Oreos
  • - Halloween sprinkles
  • ### Tools
  • - Piping bags
  • - Wilton #21 star tip
  • - Wilton #125 petal tip
  • - Wilton #4 round tip
  • - Couplers optional

Instructions
 

  • Beat butter until creamy. Add sugar, cream, vanilla, and salt. Beat until fluffy.
  • Divide and tint frosting in desired colors.
  • Pipe green swirl and add a large candy eye (Monster).
  • Pipe purple stars and add small eyes + sprinkles (Monster).
  • Use petal tip to pipe orange pumpkin lines. Add green stem and black face (Pumpkin).
  • Frost white, add black web lines, Oreo half, eyes, and legs (Spider).

Notes

- Use gel food coloring for best results.
- Avoid decorating too far ahead to keep eyes from running.
- Use couplers if switching tips between colors.
