How to Make Berry Trifle

  • Slice the angel food cake into 3/4-inch thick slices.
  • Whisk together lemon juice, lemon zest, and honey until blended.
  • Cut the brushed angel food cake slices into 3/4-inch cubes.
  • Whip the heavy cream until very stiff peaks form.
  • Blend cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
  • Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until combined.
  • Assemble by layering half of the angel food cake cubes and half blueberries.
  • Spread half of the whipped cream mixture over the blueberries.
  • Repeat the layering process with remaining ingredients.
  • Finish by placing reserved blueberries and optional raspberries on top.

Notes

Trifle is best enjoyed cold and can be made ahead of time. Use a clear dish to highlight layers.
