  • 2 cups Milk whole milk is best, can use dairy-free alternative
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1/2 package (15oz) Frozen Hashbrowns a time-saver; fresh potatoes can be used
  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese shredded for melty goodness

How to Make Breakfast Casserole

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • Brown the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until fully browned.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well blended.
  • Add the salt and pepper to the egg mixture and stir to combine.
  • Spread the frozen hashbrowns evenly in a 9x13 dish, then add the cooked sausage and cheese.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the layered ingredients evenly.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes, then remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until bubbly.

Notes

Let the casserole sit for 5-10 minutes after baking for easier slicing. Optional: Garnish with fresh chives before serving.
