Ingredients

For the Pudding

  • 4 oz white chocolate instant pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk

For the Whipped Cream

  • 1.5 cups heavy cream
  • 6 TBS sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Cake

  • 8 oz angel food cake (about 4 cups chopped)

For the Fruit Layers

  • 1 lb strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 1 lb blueberries

Instructions

Preparation

  • Combine the dry pudding mix and cold milk in a mixing bowl. Whisk together for about 2 minutes until smooth and well blended. Set it aside to thicken while you prepare the other components.
  • Whip the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract in a separate large mixing bowl. Use a hand mixer or stand mixer to beat it until stiff peaks form. Set this fluffy cream aside for layering.
  • Slice the angel food cake into thick slices, then chop each slice into 1/2 to 1-inch pieces. This will form the delightful base layers of your trifle.
  • Layer half of the chopped angel food cake at the bottom of your trifle dish, spreading it evenly across the base for a strong foundation.
  • Add a vibrant layer of sliced strawberries over the cake pieces. This adds a fresh, fruity burst of flavor and bright color.
  • Spread half of the prepared white chocolate pudding over the strawberries. Make sure to cover the strawberries completely for a smooth layer.
  • Place a layer of fresh blueberries on top of the pudding. Feel free to sprinkle them generously for that perfect mix of sweetness and tartness.
  • Top it off with a layer of the whipped cream, spreading it evenly over the blueberries, creating a light and airy finish.
  • Repeat the process by layering the remaining angel food cake, strawberries, pudding, blueberries, and whipped cream again, building the perfect trifle tower!
  • Decorate the top with extra berries in a beautiful pattern. This final touch showcases your delicious work while inviting everyone to dive in.

Notes

Optional: Drizzle with a bit of chocolate syrup for an extra layer of sweetness! Consider assembling the trifle a day in advance to save time, but wait to add the whipped cream layer until just before serving.
