Optional Toppings

  • 1/2 cup Nuts (e.g., almonds, walnuts) Finely chop nuts for an even crunch.
  • 1/2 cup Shredded Coconut Use sweetened or unsweetened according to your preference.
  • 1/2 cup Sprinkles or Colored Sugar Choose your favorite colors for a fun finish.
  • 1/2 cup Candies (e.g., crushed peppermint, toffee bits) Mix and match for a unique touch.

For Dusting

  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar Use just before serving to prevent dissolving.

Instructions

Making the Truffles

  • Prepare Ganache: Melt the white chocolate chips and chopped chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, using 30-second intervals. Stir frequently until fully melted, then mix in the room temperature heavy cream and pure vanilla extract until silky smooth.
  • Chill Ganache: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the ganache for 2-3 hours.
  • Shape Truffles: Scoop small portions (about 1-inch balls) and place them on a parchment-lined tray. If it's too soft, chill for another 15-20 minutes.
  • Melt Coating: Melt the chopped white chocolate for coating in a separate bowl.
  • Coat Truffles: Dip each truffle ball into the melted chocolate, adding toppings immediately.
  • Set Truffles: Allow coated truffles to rest at room temperature for 30-45 minutes.
  • Optional Drizzle: Melt additional white chocolate and drizzle over truffles for an elegant finish.

Notes

Store truffles in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks in the fridge or freeze for up to 3 months. Allow frozen truffles to sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes before serving.
