  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda Make sure it’s fresh.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt A small pinch enhances the flavors.

Optional Add-ins

  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips Substitute with dried fruits if preferred.
  • 1/2 cup Walnuts Add crunch and flavor.

How to Make Banana Bread Muffins

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a muffin pan by lining it with paper liners.
  • Mash the overripe bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
  • Mix in the beaten egg, cooled melted butter, and vanilla extract until everything is well combined.
  • Sift together the all-purpose flour, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  • Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring gently just until incorporated.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts if you’re using them.
  • Fill each muffin liner about ¾ full with the batter.
  • Bake for 15-21 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick.
  • Cool the muffins in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack.

Notes
