Equipment

  • ✔ Large skillet
  • ✔ Baking sheet
  • ✔️ Parchment paper
  • ✔ Sharp knife
  • ✔️ Mixing Bowl

Ingredients

  • For the Bread:
  • ½ pound chopped bacon
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon steak seasoning e.g., McCormick
  • 12 ounces Velveeta cheese cubed
  • 1 13.8-ounce thin-crust pizza dough (e.g., Pillsbury)
  • 1 ½ cups grated cheddar jack cheese
  • For the Dipping Sauce:
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Step 1: Cook the Filling
  • Preheat oven to 425°F (218°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a skillet over medium-low heat, cook bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside. Drain excess grease.
  • In the same skillet, increase heat to medium-high. Sauté onions and ground beef until the onions are soft and the beef is fully browned. Drain excess liquid.
  • Reduce heat to low. Return the bacon to the skillet, season with steak seasoning, and stir in the Velveeta cheese until melted. Remove from heat.
  • Step 2: Assemble the Bread
  • Roll out the pizza dough into a 15×10-inch rectangle on a baking sheet.
  • Spread the meat mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border.
  • Sprinkle the grated cheddar jack cheese on top.
  • Step 3: Roll & Bake
  • Roll up the dough tightly, starting from the long edge, and pinch the seams closed.
  • Place the roll seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Step 4: Make the Sauce & Serve
  • In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, salt, and pepper.
  • Let the bread cool for 5-10 minutes, then slice and serve with the dipping sauce.

Notes

For extra crispiness: Brush the dough with melted butter before baking.
Make ahead: Assemble the bread, refrigerate overnight, and bake fresh the next day.
Customizable: Swap the filling with buffalo chicken, Philly cheesesteak, or pizza toppings!
