Instructions
 

  • Begin by warming 1 ½ tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. This should take about 1 minute until the oil is shimmering and ready for cooking.
  • Carefully toss in the 2 pounds of shredded cabbage along with 1 tablespoon of minced garlic, a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes, and ½ teaspoon of fine sea salt. Stir everything together gently to mix the ingredients evenly.
  • Cook the mixture while stirring occasionally for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cabbage is wilted, tender, and slightly browned.
  • Once cooked, squeeze the juice from half a lemon over the sautéed cabbage, then give it a taste. Adjust with additional salt, pepper, or more lemon juice as needed for brightness.
