Ingredients
  

  • ### Dough
  • - 1 cup whole milk
  • - ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • - 6 tbsp granulated sugar
  • - 1 packet 2¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • - 2¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • - 1 tsp salt
  • - Orange food coloring
  • - Halloween sprinkles optional
  • ### Chocolate Cinnamon Filling
  • - 6 tbsp unsalted butter softened
  • - ¾ cup dark brown sugar
  • - 3 tbsp black cocoa powder
  • - 3 tsp ground cinnamon
  • - ½ tsp salt
  • - 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • - ½ cup dark chocolate chips optional
  • ### Vanilla Icing
  • - 1½ cups confectioners’ sugar
  • - 3 tbsp milk
  • - 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Heat milk, oil, and sugar to 170–180°F. Cool to 110°F.
  • Add yeast. Let sit 5 minutes.
  • Add flour and salt. Mix. Add food coloring. Knead 6–8 mins.
  • Let dough rise 1 hour until doubled.
  • Mix filling ingredients.
  • Roll dough into 12x16 rectangle. Spread filling. Add chips.
  • Roll up and slice into 12 pieces. Place in greased 9x13 pan.
  • Let rise 45 mins. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Bake 20–22 mins. Cool 5 mins.
  • Mix icing. Drizzle over rolls. Top with sprinkles.

Notes

- Make ahead: Refrigerate overnight before final rise and baking.
- Black cocoa gives dramatic color and rich taste.
- Use floss to slice clean rolls.
