Ingredients
  

  • ### Cupcakes
  • - 125g plain flour
  • - 25g cocoa powder
  • - 1½ tsp baking powder
  • - 150g caster sugar
  • - 150g unsalted butter softened
  • - 1 large egg
  • - 8 tbsp milk
  • ### Cream Cheese Frosting
  • - 50g cream cheese
  • - 25g butter softened
  • - 125g icing sugar
  • - ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ### Chocolate Cobweb Icing
  • - 25g icing sugar
  • - 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • - 2 tbsp water

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F. Line 9 muffin cases.
  • Sift flour, cocoa, baking powder. Add sugar, butter. Mix well.
  • Add egg and milk. Beat until smooth.
  • Divide batter into cases. Bake 20–25 min. Cool completely.
  • Beat cream cheese and butter. Add sugar and vanilla. Frost cupcakes.
  • Mix cobweb icing. Pipe 3 circles. Drag toothpick outward to create webs.
  • Let set 20 minutes before serving.

Notes

- Can be frozen (unfrosted) for up to 1 month.
- Use gel food coloring for colored cobwebs.
