  • 2 tbsp Maple Syrup Can substitute with honey or agave syrup.
  • 1 tsp Salt Adjust as needed.
  • 2 cups Flour (All-Purpose) Can use whole wheat or gluten-free.
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder Ensure freshness.
  • 1 large Egg Flax egg can be used for vegan option.

For the Egg Wash

  • 1 large Egg Whisked.

  • Preheat Oven: Start by setting your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it’s hot and ready for baking.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until evenly combined.
  • Prepare Egg Wash: In a separate cup, whisk an egg until it’s well beaten.
  • Blend Wet Ingredients: In a blender, combine cottage cheese, maple syrup, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth.
  • Combine Mixtures: Pour the blended wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients. Stir gently until a shaggy dough forms.
  • Shape Dough: Lightly dust your working surface with flour, then gently knead and shape the dough into a disk about 1/2-inch thick.
  • Divide & Roll: Cut the dough into 10 equal pieces and roll each piece into a ball.
  • Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place your dough balls on it, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Brush with Egg Wash: Gently apply the egg wash on top of each roll using a pastry brush.
  • Bake: Place the baking sheet in your preheated oven and bake for 23-25 minutes.
  • Cool: Let the rolls cool on the baking sheet for 2-3 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
