Homemade Kool-Aid Fruit Roll-Ups

These homemade Kool-Aid fruit roll-ups are a fun, chewy, and flavorful snack made with fresh fruit and a burst of Kool-Aid flavor. Perfect for kids and adults, they’re easy to make, naturally gluten-free, and can be customized with different fruit combinations.

Equipment

  • Blender or food processor
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper or silicone baking mat
  • Spatula
  • Pizza cutter or kitchen scissors
  • Airtight container for storage

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ½ cups fresh fruit strawberries, peaches, mangoes, etc.
  • 1 envelope Kool-Aid powder any flavor
  • ½ to 1 cup sugar adjust based on fruit sweetness
  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup for chewiness

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Fruit
  • Wash and dry your fruit thoroughly.
  • Remove any pits, seeds, or tough skins.
  • Chop the fruit into small pieces for easy blending.
  • Blend the Ingredients
  • In a blender, combine the chopped fruit, Kool-Aid powder, and sugar.
  • Blend until smooth (avoid adding water).
  • Preheat & Prepare the Baking Sheet
  • Preheat the oven to 170°F–200°F (75°C–95°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • Spread the Mixture
  • Pour the fruit puree onto the baking sheet and spread evenly (1/8 inch thick).
  • Bake & Dry
  • Place the baking sheet in the oven with the door slightly open to release moisture.
  • Bake for 4 to 8 hours, checking occasionally.
  • Cool & Cut
  • Once dry, remove from the oven and let it cool.
  • Use scissors or a pizza cutter to cut into strips.
  • Roll & Store
  • Roll each strip and store in an airtight container at room temperature.

Notes

✔ Use ripe fruit for the best natural sweetness.
✔ Spread puree evenly to prevent uneven drying.
✔ Use parchment paper or a silicone mat to prevent sticking.
✔ Can be stored at room temperature for 1 month, in the fridge for 2 months, or frozen for 6 months.
