Peanut Butter Filling

  • 6 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup Creamy Peanut Butter choose a creamy variety
  • 2.5 cups Confectioners’ Sugar essential for sweetness
  • 0.5 teaspoon Vanilla Extract adds warmth
  • 1/8 teaspoon Salt enhances flavors

Chocolate Coating

  • 12 ounces Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bars coarsely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Vegetable Oil helps achieve silky texture

Optional Topping

  • Coarse Sea Salt or Flaky Sea Salt for garnish

Directions

  • Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • Beat the softened butter on medium-high speed until creamy and smooth, about 2 minutes.
  • Combine the creamy peanut butter with the butter, adding confectioners’ sugar, vanilla extract, and salt, mixing on low for 2 minutes.
  • Measure about 1.5 Tablespoons of the mixture, roll into a ball, and flatten into an egg shape, layering them on the prepared sheet.
  • Chill the shaped peanut butter eggs in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  • Melt the chopped semi-sweet chocolate bars with vegetable oil until smooth.
  • Remove eggs from fridge and submerge each in melted chocolate, tapping them to remove excess.
  • While still wet, sprinkle the eggs with sea salt or sprinkles.
  • Refrigerate the coated candies for about 30 minutes until set.

Notes

For best results, chill the eggs and avoid burning the chocolate by melting it slowly.
