  • 1 cup rolled oats Use old-fashioned rolled oats for best results.
  • 1 pinch salt Balances sweetness.
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds Adds thickness and nutrition.

Sweetness & Flavor

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup Opt for pure maple syrup for best flavor.
  • 1 medium banana Slice fresh before serving.

Optional Enhancements

  • 2 tablespoons hemp hearts Optional but adds crunch.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Optional spice for flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mason jar or airtight container, mix rolled oats, chia seeds, hemp hearts, and a pinch of salt. Stir well to distribute the chia seeds evenly.
  • Pour the unsweetened soy milk and maple syrup into the mixture. Stir for about 30 seconds, ensuring all oats are moistened.
  • Cover your jar tightly and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.
  • The next morning, give your oats a good stir. If the mixture seems too thick, add a splash of soy milk.
  • Just before serving, top with fresh banana slices or your choice of fruits.

Notes

These oats can be stored in the refrigerator for up to five days. Freeze individual jars for up to 3 months. Add toppings just before eating for best texture.
