Preparation Steps

  • In a mason jar, add rolled oats, chia seeds, black cocoa powder, chocolate protein powder, and salt. Mix well to ensure an even distribution and avoid clumps.
  • Use a spoon or small whisk to thoroughly mix the dry ingredients together until they are fully combined.
  • Pour in cashew milk and almond extract. Stir vigorously until all dry ingredients are fully moistened.
  • Cover the jar with a lid and place it in the refrigerator. Let it rest for at least 8 hours or overnight.
  • If you remember, give the mixture a quick stir halfway through the soaking time to ensure a consistent texture.
  • When you're ready to eat, give the oats a good stir again. Adjust the thickness with additional cashew milk if necessary.
  • Optionally, mix in powdered peanut butter or your choice of toppings like strawberries, cocoa nibs, and whipped cream before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. The longer they sit, the more delicious they become.
