  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 packages canned biscuits refrigerated

For the Topping

  • 1/2 cup salted butter melted
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

How to Make Monkey Bread

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Grease the pan with cooking spray.
  • In a large bag, combine the granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • Open the packages of biscuits and cut each into quarters.
  • Toss the quartered biscuits in the spice mixture until coated.
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar until combined.
  • Layer the coated biscuits in the pan, adding chopped pecans every third layer.
  • Pour the brown sugar-butter mixture over the biscuits.
  • Bake for 45 minutes.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes before inverting onto a plate.
