Ingredients
  

  • - 1 lb ground beef
  • - ½ lb Italian sausage
  • - 1 small onion diced
  • - 3 cloves garlic minced
  • - 1 24 oz jar marinara sauce
  • - 1 14 oz can diced tomatoes
  • - 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • - Salt and pepper to taste
  • #### Cheese Mixture
  • - 1½ cups ricotta or cottage cheese
  • - 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • - ¼ cup sour cream
  • - 1 egg
  • - ½ cup grated Parmesan
  • - 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • #### For Assembly
  • - 12 lasagna noodles cooked or no-boil
  • - 1 cup shredded mozzarella for topping
  • - Olive oil or cooking spray

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet, brown ground beef and sausage. Add onion and garlic; cook until soft.
  • Stir in marinara, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer 10–15 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix ricotta, cream cheese, sour cream, egg, Parmesan, and 1 cup mozzarella.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Layer: meat sauce, noodles, cheese mixture — repeat 3 times, ending with meat sauce and mozzarella.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake another 20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  • Let rest 10–15 minutes before serving.

Notes

- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days
- Freeze unbaked for 3 months; bake directly from frozen
- Let rest before slicing for best results
