Ingredients
  

  • - 1 lb ground beef
  • - ½ lb Italian sausage
  • - ½ onion diced
  • - 3 garlic cloves minced
  • - 24 oz marinara sauce
  • - 14 oz diced tomatoes
  • - 2 tsp tomato paste
  • - 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • - Salt and pepper to taste
  • - 1 cup ricotta or cottage cheese
  • - 4 oz cream cheese
  • - ½ cup sour cream
  • - 1 egg
  • - ½ cup Parmesan
  • - 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • - 12 lasagna noodles
  • - 1 cup mozzarella for topping
  • - Fresh parsley or basil

Instructions
 

  • Brown beef and sausage. Add onion, garlic, and seasonings. Simmer with tomatoes and marinara.
  • Mix ricotta, cream cheese, sour cream, egg, Parmesan, and half of the mozzarella.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9×13 baking dish.
  • Layer meat sauce, noodles, cheese mixture. Repeat layers, ending with sauce and mozzarella.
  • Cover with foil and bake 25 min. Uncover and bake 20 more min.
  • Let rest 10–15 min before slicing. Garnish and serve.

Notes

- Can be assembled ahead and frozen
- Use no-boil noodles for easy prep
