Ingredients
  

  • - 1 box brownie mix for 13×9-inch pan
  • - Eggs oil, water as listed on brownie box
  • - 1 cup granulated sugar
  • - 1½ cups light corn syrup
  • - 4 large eggs
  • - ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • - 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • - 2 cups pecans roughly chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven as directed on brownie box.
  • Prepare and pour brownie batter into a greased 13×9-inch pan. Bake for half the recommended time.
  • While baking, make pecan pie filling: combine sugar, corn syrup, eggs, butter, and vanilla in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly for 15–20 minutes until thickened. Add pecans, cook 2–3 minutes more.
  • Remove brownies from oven, pour filling on top, and spread evenly.
  • Return to oven and bake for 25–30 minutes or until the center slightly jiggles.
  • Cool completely before slicing.

Notes

- Let brownies cool fully before slicing for clean cuts.
- Optional: Add bourbon or sea salt for extra flavor.
