Ingredients
  

For the Glaze

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder freshly ground is preferred
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup use pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce Kikkoman brand recommended
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper

For the Salmon

  • 12 ounces salmon fillets skin-on preferred for crispness

Instructions
 

Glaze Preparation

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper until well combined. Set aside a portion for basting later.

Salmon Preparation

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel, then place them in a resealable bag or container. Pour about 2/3 of the glaze over the salmon, ensuring they're well coated, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Cooking

  • Set your air fryer to 375°F and let it preheat for about 3-5 minutes.
  • Lay the marinated fillets skin-side down in the air fryer basket. Cook for 4 minutes, then brush them with the reserved glaze.
  • Cook for an additional 4 minutes or until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
  • Let the salmon rest for 2-3 minutes after cooking.

Notes

Serve with a squeeze of fresh lemon for added flavor. Leftover salmon can be used in salads or wraps.
