Ingredients
  

  • ✔ Main Ingredients:
  • 2 tubes refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 lb. sliced Swiss cheese divided
  • 1 ¼ lbs. sliced deli corned beef or a mix of corned beef & pastrami
  • 1 can 14 oz sauerkraut, rinsed and well-drained
  • 1 cup Thousand Island dressing
  • 1 egg white lightly beaten
  • 3 teaspoons caraway seeds optional

Instructions
 

  • 1️⃣ Prep the Base
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Grease a 13×9-inch baking dish.
  • Unroll one tube of crescent rolls, pressing seams together to form a solid rectangle.
  • Place the dough in the bottom of the baking dish and bake for 9-11 minutes until golden brown.
  • 2️⃣ Prepare the Filling
  • In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the corned beef with a little butter for 7-10 minutes. Set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the rinsed sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing.
  • 3️⃣ Assemble the Layers
  • Layer half the Swiss cheese over the baked crescent roll base.
  • Add the sautéed corned beef.
  • Spread the sauerkraut mixture evenly on top.
  • Add the remaining Swiss cheese.
  • 4️⃣ Add the Top Layer & Bake
  • Unroll the second tube of crescent rolls and place it over the cheese, sealing the edges.
  • Brush with beaten egg white and sprinkle with caraway seeds (optional).
  • Bake for 12-16 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let stand for 5 minutes before slicing.
