For the Salmon

  • 4 to 6 oz Skinless Salmon Fillet ensure it's at room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon Avocado Oil can substitute with canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt adjust to preference
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper freshly ground for best taste

For the Glaze

  • 2 tablespoons Coconut Aminos or Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Honey
  • 1 clove Garlic (minced)

For the Base and Toppings

  • 1/2 cup Cooked Jasmine Rice follow package instructions
  • 1 cup Carrots julienned or thinly sliced
  • 1 cup Baby Spinach
  • 1 cup Cucumbers sliced into thin rounds
  • 2 tablespoons Chives (optional) finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds (optional)

Cooking Instructions

  • Cook the jasmine rice according to the package instructions, ensuring it's fluffy and tender.
  • While the rice cooks, julienne the carrots, slice the cucumbers, mince the garlic, and gather baby spinach.
  • Allow the salmon fillet to sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes prior to cooking.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together coconut aminos, honey, and minced garlic until well combined.
  • Heat avocado oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  • Season the salmon with salt and pepper, then place skin-side up in the skillet, cooking for 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and pour the honey garlic sauce over the salmon, gently tossing to coat.
  • Assemble the bowl starting with jasmine rice, topped with glazed salmon and arranged veggies.
  • Drizzle remaining sauce over the bowl and garnish with sesame seeds and chives.

Notes

Ensure salmon is at room temperature for even cooking and avoid burning the honey in the glaze.
