For the Peppers

  • 4 pieces Green Peppers Choose firm peppers that can stand upright

For the Filling

  • 1 pound Sausage Mild Italian sausage preferred
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Ensure softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese Sharp cheddar recommended

For the Toppings

  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Freshly shredded
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese Fresh shredded

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  • Wash the green peppers, halve them, and remove seeds. Place cut-side up in a greased baking dish.
  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the sausage until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, cheddar, seasoned salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Mix in the cooked sausage.
  • Stuff each pepper half generously with the meat and cheese mixture.
  • Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  • Remove foil, sprinkle parmesan and mozzarella on top of each pepper.
  • Bake uncovered for an additional 5-10 minutes until cheese is golden.

Notes

Optional: Garnish with fresh herbs like parsley or basil for a decorative touch.
