  • Incorporate spices: Add chili powder, cumin, cocoa, oregano, paprika, and cayenne; stir for 1 minute.
  • Mix in beans and tomatoes: Add kidney beans, crushed tomatoes, and beef broth. Bring to a boil.
  • Simmer gently: Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 30-40 minutes.
  • Finishing touch: Stir in apple cider vinegar and adjust seasoning as needed.
