- Halloween cookie cutters

Ingredients
- 250g
9oz unsalted butter, softened
- 250g
9oz golden caster sugar
- 2 free-range eggs
lightly beaten
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 500g
1lb 2oz plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Red and black food coloring
optional
- Halloween cookie cutters
- 200g
7oz ready-to-roll fondant icing
- Red
white, and black writing icing
- 1 tbsp apricot jam + 1 tsp water
- Icing sugar for dusting
Instructions
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
Add eggs, vanilla, and coloring if using.
Mix flour and baking powder, add to wet ingredients.
Form dough, divide and chill for 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 170°C/325°F. Line trays.
Roll dough to 0.5cm, cut with spooky cutters.
Bake 12–15 mins. Cool completely.
Decorate with icing, fondant, and jam for glue.
Notes
Chill dough well for cleaner cookie shapes. Let decorations dry fully before storing.
