  • 1 tbsp honey

For the Heat

  • 1 slice fresh jalapeño adjust for heat preference

For the Fizz

  • 4 oz tonic water or soda water choose based on taste preference

For the Rim

  • 1 tbsp Tajín or salt for coating the glass rim

How to Make Spicy Margarita Mocktail

  • Rub the Rim: Take a lime wedge and gently rub it around the rim of a short glass. Dip the rim into Tajín or salt, creating a flavorful edge. Fill the glass with ice and set aside to chill.
  • Muddle the Ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, add the jalapeño slices along with the lime juice, orange juice, and honey. Muddle gently to release the heat and flavors.
  • Shake It Up: Add a handful of ice to your shaker and secure the lid. Shake well for about 15 seconds until everything is combined and chilled.
  • Strain the Mixture: Pour the muddled mixture into your prepared glass over the ice, and top off with tonic water or soda water.
  • Garnish & Stir: Give it a quick stir to combine, and garnish with a slice of fresh lime and extra jalapeño if desired.

Notes

Store any leftover margarita mocktail in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. For freezing, use ice cube trays and enjoy within 1 month, blending cubes for a slushy version.
