Instructions

How to Make Sushi Popcorn

  • Begin by preparing your popcorn. If using unpopped kernels, pop them on the stovetop or in an air popper until fluffy and crisp. Aim for about 8 cups of popcorn.
  • In a small bowl, gently melt the unsalted butter in the microwave or on the stovetop until smooth and liquid.
  • In another bowl, mix together the crumbled nori, toasted sesame seeds, kosher salt, and togarashi chile seasoning.
  • Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the popcorn and sprinkle the seasoning mix generously on top. Toss everything together until well-coated.
  • Enjoy your Sushi Popcorn immediately or transfer it to a serving bowl for sharing.

Notes

For maximum crispiness, allow any leftovers to cool before storing in an airtight container. Optional to garnish with additional sesame seeds for extra crunch.
