Ingredients
  

For the Sausage Patties

  • 1 lb Ground Turkey Use 85/15 or 93/7 fat content
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Sage Fresh herbs preferred
  • 1 tsp Salt Adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper Switch to white pepper for milder taste
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Thyme Dried thyme can be used
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder Fresh minced garlic is an alternative
  • 1 tsp Marjoram Italian seasoning can substitute
  • 1 tbsp Smoked Paprika Regular paprika can be used
  • 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes Adjust according to spice tolerance
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder Sautéed onions can be used

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, mix together sage, salt, black pepper, thyme, garlic powder, marjoram, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, and onion powder until well combined.
  • In a large bowl, place the ground turkey and gently fold in the spice mixture.
  • Shape the turkey mixture into 8 patties about ½ inch thick.
  • Heat a skillet on medium heat and add a bit of oil. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden-brown and 165°F internally.
  • If crumbled, add the meat mixture to your skillet and break it into small pieces. Cook for 4-5 minutes until no pink remains.
  • Allow the cooked sausage to rest for 2 minutes before serving.

Notes

Optional: Serve with a drizzle of maple syrup for a sweet-savory combo.
