Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Fine mesh strainer
  • - Sous vide machine (optional)
  • - Food-grade dry ice (optional)

Ingredients
  

  • #### Blackberry Shimmery Liqueur for 4 cocktails
  • - 1 cup vodka
  • - 1 cup fresh or frozen blackberries
  • - ½ cup simple syrup
  • - ¼ tsp purple edible luster dust
  • #### For 2 Cocktails
  • - 4 oz blackberry liqueur
  • - 2 oz apple juice or liqueur
  • - ½ oz lemon juice
  • - ½ oz simple syrup
  • - 1 tsp grenadine per glass
  • - Ice
  • - Crushed dry ice optional

Instructions
 

  • **Make Liqueur (Fridge)**:
  • Combine vodka + blackberries. Chill 5–7 days. Strain. Add syrup + shimmer.
  • **Make Liqueur (Sous Vide)**:
  • Sous vide vodka + blackberries at 135°F for 2 hrs. Strain. Add syrup + shimmer.
  • **Shake Drink**:
  • Combine liqueur, apple juice, lemon juice, syrup in shaker with ice. Shake and strain into glasses.
  • **Add “Heart”**:
  • Pour 1 tsp grenadine down side of each glass—it will sink like a bleeding heart.
  • **Optional Dry Ice**:
  • Carefully drop in a tiny piece for fog. Wait for fog to disappear before drinking.

Notes

Only use edible luster dust and food-safe dry ice. Never drink while dry ice is active.
