Ingredients

For the Corn

  • 4 ears corn Fresh, in-season corn ensures the sweetest, juiciest bites.

For Brushing

  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil This high-heat oil complements the natural sweetness of corn beautifully.

For Topping

  • 1 tablespoon butter A classic that melts into the kernels, adding rich flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Enhances the sweetness of the corn for a delightful contrast.
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper Adds a subtle heat to balance the flavors perfectly.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by removing the husks and silks from each ear of corn. If desired, lightly brush the naked corn with avocado oil for added flavor.
  • Set your grill to medium-high heat, ensuring it's nice and hot before adding the corn.

Grilling

  • Place the corn directly on the grill and close the lid. Grill for about 10 minutes, rotating them every few minutes for an even, golden-brown char.
  • Using tongs, carefully remove the corn from the grill and transfer it to a plate. Top with butter and a sprinkle of salt and pepper before serving.

Optional Smoky Flavor

  • If preferred, place the husked corn on the grill and cook for around 15 minutes, rotating every few minutes until the husks are blackened.
  • Let it cool slightly before carefully peeling away the husk and silks. Add desired toppings and enjoy!

Notes

For an extra zing, drizzle fresh lime juice over your grilled corn before serving. Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze individually wrapped for up to 3 months.
