Ingredients
  

For the Ramen

  • 1 lb Beef ribeye, sirloin, flank steak, or skirt steak can also be used.
  • 4 oz Ramen Noodles fresh ramen, udon, or rice noodles can be used.
  • 3 Tbsp Soy Sauce reduce if using a low-sodium version.
  • 2 Tbsp Gochujang substitution for milder version.
  • 1 Tbsp Gochugaru omit for a milder dish.
  • 1 Tbsp Rice Vinegar lime juice works well too.

For the Creamy Sauce

  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise use Greek yogurt for a lighter version.
  • 2 Tbsp Sriracha substitution: fermented chili paste can enrich the flavor.
  • 1 Tbsp Brown Sugar honey or white sugar may be used.
  • 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil can be omitted, but flavor will change.

For Garnishing

  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic fresh garlic is recommended for the best taste.
  • 3 Tbsp Green Onions can be replaced with chives.
  • 1 Tbsp Black Sesame Seeds can be omitted without affecting taste.
  • to taste Black Pepper can be omitted if sensitive to spice.

Preparation Steps

  • Marinate the Beef: In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, gochujang, sesame oil, brown sugar, minced garlic, and black pepper. Coat the beef with this mixture and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Prepare the Creamy Sauce: Whisk together mayonnaise, sriracha, sesame oil, and sugar until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • Cook Broth: In a pot, bring broth to a simmer over medium heat. Add gochugaru, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and salt. Stir in ramen noodles and cook for about 3 minutes.
  • Grill the Beef: Heat a grill pan on medium-high. Sear marinated beef for 2-3 minutes on each side until caramelized. Let rest before slicing.
  • Serve: Divide ramen and broth between bowls, drizzle creamy sauce, top with grilled beef, and garnish with green onions, sesame seeds.

Notes

For an extra kick, add optional chili oil and serve with Korean-style pickled vegetables on the side.
